QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER

World-class genomics laboratory and global industry leader in DNA analysis seeks QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER to direct the quality assurance program for the company. Successful candidate will:

• Will be responsible for identification and coordination of all external accreditation activities and communications with accrediting bodies (AABB, ISO, 17025, ASCLD-LAB, NYSDOH, CLIA, etc.) .
• Develop and maintain the quality management system.
• Implement quality control systems and documentation for company processes.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory, customer and company standards.
• Assist with training and competency verification of all lab personnel.

Required:

• BS in a Biologic Science or other related scientific field.
• 3 years experience supervising quality assurance systems.
• Ability to communicate with staff, customers and other business partners.

Preferred:

• MS in a Biologic Science or related scientific field.
• Certified Quality Manager (CQM-ASQ) or Quality Engineer (CQE-ASQ)
• 5 years experience managing quality assurance in a laboratory with 2 years in a biotech laboratory.

CLINICAL LABORATORY SUPERVISOR

Sorenson Genomics, a leader in DNA testing services, is currently seeking to a seasoned CLINICAL LABORATORY SUPERVISOR to oversee an expanding line of DNA testing. Duties will include: supervise daily activities of the clinical laboratory; data analysis and review; oversight for process definition, validation, implementation, control and maintenance; hiring and management of clinical laboratory personnel; training and proficiency evaluation of staff; evaluating personnel performance; developing individual and group performance metrics; conducting regular team meetings; and any other duty as defined in the job description.

Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree in biologic science or related field
• 6 years relevant experience in laboratory with one year in the specialty area of infectious diseases
• At least 1 year supervisory experience
• 25 hours administrative or supervisory continuing education if not ASCP certified

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s Degree in medical technology and ASCP MT certification or Bachelor’s Degree in a related life science with ASCP categorical certification
• Master’s Degree in a biologic science with 3 years experience managing production operations in a life science laboratory
• Experience with Lean Six Sigma
